Hi, I'm Kim,
New Horizons' Office Manager. I've been with Dr. Vendeland five years and I do my best to make sure the office runs
smoothly so we can meet your needs. I am the proud
mother of a daughter who is a professional chef working at the
4-Olives Restaurant in Manhattan Kansas, and a son who works for US Water Utilities and enjoys
techno toys in his spare time. To make my family complete, I
have a four-year-old Doxy-Miniature Collie named Sissy. In
my spare time, I am working on a degree at Pasco-Hernando Community
College. I will graduate on December 13, 2007 with my A.S.
degree in Business Administration.
Hi, my name is Veronique and I am New Horizons' Receptionist. I have
been here two years and look forward to many happy years.
I have a wonderful husband who is also a wonderful father and is
involved in all aspects of our family life. I am the proud
mother of two youth hockey players. They both play for travel
teams. Our dogs, Max and Lexi, contribute to our active family life.
Update: A lot has happened since last year. Jason
graduated from East Lake High and is now going to FSU.
Chad is now a sophomore, still playing travel hockey and also
plays for the East Lake High Hockey team.
Hi, I'm Maryann.
I've been
Dr. Vendeland's Medical Assistant for seven years now. I
recently married and inherited a stepson in the process. He is
13 years old, and along with my other two daughters, who are 19 and
21 years old, we have a very busy household. I used to assist
Dr. Vendeland solely, but now I schedule surgeries, verify insurance
for surgery, call patients with lab results and still assist Dr.
Vendeland when needed. I have 3 dogs: Skipper, Molly, and
Annie, and 2 cats: Toby and Simba.
My
name is Lisa. I'm 19 and live in Port Richey. I started
working here when I was 17 part-time and eventually became one of
the amazing receptionists. Some of you already know my mom is
Maryann, one of the medical assistants, and surprisingly it's not
that bad working with her. :-) This job has been an
awesome learning experience and I enjoy it very much. I'm
starting college in January 2008. I'm not sure what for yet,
but I'm gonna make a lot of money. :-) In my spare time,
I like to drive around, hang out with my amazing friends, listen to
music, and just relax.
Hi!
My name is Joanie. I have been a certified medical assistant
for 25 years. I work as the Direct Back Office Assistant to
Dr. Vendeland. I've worked at New Horizons since April 2006.
I have a teenage daughter who is an honor roll student. She
runs cross country, track, and plays school and competitive soccer .
. . i.e., I'm a Soccer Mom. We love spending time with family
and friends, the beach, and our pets: "Riley" (our Dachshund) and
our cats, "Trio" and "Turbo".
Hi.
I'm Shamekka, one of the new faces at New Horizons. You may
receive calls from me or see me whenever you visit the back office.
I have a one-year-old son named Damian. I enjoy playing around
with Damian, reading, and working at New Horizons.
Hello.
My name is Lana. I am the Front Desk Patient Coordinator.
I have joined this wonderful team 3 months ago. Dr. Vendeland
delivered my beautiful baby girl, Ana, three years ago.
Although I had a difficult pregnancy, Dr. Vendeland's care and
exceptional kindness got me through it all. I have been
blessed with a wonderful husband, George, who's an architect.
We enjoy spending as much time as possible with our families.
